here’s what James Carville had to say about Sheldon Whitehouse’s work to shine a light on the captured Court

Sheldon Whitehouse Senator for Rhode Island

Team,

The Supreme Court’s latest term will be remembered for its brazen shift away from honoring precedent and into playing politics. From raising Trump above the law to damaging the government's power to keep consumers safe or protect the environment, the destructiveness of The Court That Dark Money Built was on full display.

There are justices on the Court doing the work (and accepting the gifts) of the far-right super wealthy — a small extremist elite out for its own interests, even if it means massive damage to democracy and to the wellbeing of the American people.

Here’s what longtime political strategist James Carville recently had to say on MSNBC about Sheldon’s many years of work to shine a light on the Captured Court:

“I will take my hat off to Sheldon Whitehouse. Of anybody in the country who understands not just how morally and ethically corrupt the Supreme Court is, but how intellectually corrupt it is, is Senator Whitehouse. He’s on the front here. He has their number. He is not backing off.”

The Supreme Court has become openly political in service to the Republican Party.

Sheldon has been leading the fight to expose how the Court got captured by billionaires and corporate special interests using gobs of dark money.

Here’s the good news: Sheldon has a plan to clean up the mess at SCOTUS and give Americans a Court that plays by the rules. With your support, he can win re-election, improve accountability at the Court, and make sure the justices can no longer evade the ethics rules that apply to every other federal official.
