Right now, Florida schools are gearing up for House Bill 1473 – known as the Florida School Safety Act – which has taken to effect this month.

Bolstering school safety measures in place, the legislation mandates new safety protocols, including keeping school entrances locked during school hours or staffed when open, securing classrooms, and implementing a discipline policy for repeat safety violations.

These proactive measures are essential to enhancing school safety across Florida, bringing us closer to safeguarding our students and educators.
