Indivisibles,

Roe v. Wade -- Reversed
Affirmative action in higher education -- Eliminated
Accountability for Trump if he attempts a coup as a sitting president --
Immune

These are just a few of the decisions that the extremists on the Supreme
Court have handed down recently, all while receiving lavish gifts from
MAGA donors and facing no repercussions for their actions. There is no
fairness or impartiality within Trump’s SCOTUS. There is no commitment to
balance. We have a stacked judiciary that is handing our nation over to
billionaires and autocrats, but we have the chance to unrig the court and
work toward a better future.

Last weekend, President Biden previewed plans for potential major SCOTUS
reforms to the Congressional Progressive Caucus -- when he’s reelected.

Heeding calls from Indivisibles like you, according to [ [link removed] ]The Washington
Post, Biden plans to potentially:

* Establish term limits for Supreme Court justices
* Create an enforceable code of ethics
* Call for a constitutional amendment to eliminate broad immunity for
presidents

Those are crucial reforms and a necessary first step toward addressing the
nakedly partisan power grab of this MAGA Supreme Court. We need elected
officials who will proactively check judicial overreach and won’t just
expect SCOTUS to oversee themselves.

And that’s where you come in.

We have the choice between two options this November:

 1. A White House, Senate, and House of Representatives run by
manipulative, lying autocrats who are only interested in increasing
their own wealth and advancing their own self-interests.
 2. A White House, Senate, and House of Representatives run by
responsible, pro-democracy leaders who listen to experts and the will
of the people to put forth common-sense reforms that preserve and
improve our democracy.

The choice seems clear to us, but we need your help:

to drive wins across the board in November. We have a variety of ways
for you to make sure you’re activating as many voters as possible. Check

reimbursements, and more that will be the backbone of our elections
strategy. Let’s get to work on sending MAGA home.

In his meeting with the Congressional Progressive Caucus, President Biden
was clear when he said, “I’ve been working with constitutional scholars
for the last three months, and I need some help.” Well, now’s your time to
step up and ensure that we have an administration willing to listen to
experts and the will of the voters to bring about much needed structural
change.

Term limits and a code of ethics are a great step. Court expansion must
come behind it, but we need elected officials who will listen. The work
you do today will be the deciding factor on whether that happens. [ [link removed] ]Sign
