Friend, not all humanitarian emergencies are given the same attention. But all crises deserve our attention, empathy, and, most importantly, our action.
Escalating violence around the world has led to an urgent and dangerous lack of access to humanitarian aid for those who need it most. Health care systems are under attack. Homes have been destroyed. People have been forced to flee. Lives uprooted.
Thanks to your support, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) teams are helping people in many of the world's most challenging and complex emergencies. These crises are not happening in a vacuum and often exacerbate existing emergencies or even create new challenges. We need your help to ensure we are prepared to meet the challenges that lie ahead.
When you make a gift of $10 or more, you’ll receive a free MSF sticker bundle that shows your commitment to saving lives.

Here’s a look at some of the stories happening right now that may not have made front-page news but are no less urgent:
-
In Haiti, unprecedented violence has engulfed Port-au-Prince, resulting in hospital closures and increasingly limited access to medical supplies. Between March and April 2024 alone, our teams provided 9,025 outpatient consultations. MSF teams also treated 4,966 urgent cases—including 869 bullet-wounded patients—and admitted 99 severely burned patients at Tabarre Hospital, half of whom were children.
-
In Yemen, people are facing a storm of humanitarian needs after eight years of war. MSF has been continually responding to this crisis, assisting in nearly 185,000 births in 2022. Our teams also operate in 13 hospitals across the country, providing surgical care, malnutrition treatment, and responding to rising rates of preventable diseases like measles.
-
In Myanmar, the intensification of conflict has led to an absence of humanitarian access as well as a decimation of the health care system. Before being forced to suspend medical activities in Rakhine state late last year, MSF was running 25 mobile clinics, providing 1,500 patient consultations per week.
MSF will remain on the ground for as long as we’re needed and able—but we’re counting on our independent donor community to power our response.
Make your first gift of $10 or more to ensure we can keep showing up in the immediate aftermath of conflict—and for the long term—in Gaza, Sudan Haiti, and beyond—and we’ll send you your exclusive sticker bundle to show our appreciation.
Sincerely,
Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières USA |
