I first got involved in politics volunteering for Paul Wellstone’s first Senate campaign in 1990. I've worked on dozens of campaigns, knocking on doors, making phone calls, and meeting voters face-to-face.
I’ve been around for a while. But I have never seen our rights, freedoms, and values under such imminent threat as they are with Donald Trump and JD Vance at the top of the Republican ticket.
Trump is, of course, Trump, and Vance is a shill for the Heritage Foundation, which developed the extreme right wing Project 2025 agenda that Trump and Vance plan to push from the White House if they’re elected this November.
Vance is so extreme, he believes in a national abortion ban WITHOUT exceptions for rape or incest. He said it himself two years ago:
“JD Vance said in 2022 he ‘would like abortion to be illegal nationally’” – CNN
But, John, as out of step with the values of regular Americans as Trump and Vance are, the reality is we have an extremely difficult fight ahead of us over the next four months to keep Minnesota blue.
The polls are neck and neck, and there is a tornado of lies, misinformation, and attack ads heading our way from the Trump campaign. Our entire team is working around the clock to build the operation we need to hold the line. But nothing we do is possible without your support.
