Hi John,
Thank you for joining our email list – it’s great to have you on board.

We’re committed to campaigning on a variety of different issues across the globe, from making trade work for everybody, not just big business, to standing up for migrants’ rights.

** You make the difference
------------------------------------------------------------

At the heart of our movement are our activists, members and supporters. Because we know that our campaigns for justice depend on people like you. Here are just a few things we’ve achieved together:

* As part of a movement, in 2016 we defeated the toxic EU-US trade deal TTIP (the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership).

* For the last two years we have been exposing trade secretary Liam Fox’s dangerous plans for post-Brexit trade deals with Donald Trump and others. We’ve worked with Green MP Caroline Lucas to draft a key trade democracy amendment to the Trade Bill, given evidence in parliament several times, and mobilised thousands of people to contact MP and Lords and take part in public consultations.

* Our campaigning to uncover the misuse of aid on private contractors helped lead to the suspension of contracts to Adam Smith International. And our proposals for a progressive aid model have largely been integrated into Labour Party policy.

* For the last few years, we have mobilised to support the process for a UN declaration of rights for small farmers. Last year, a committee of the UN General Assembly voted in favour of the declaration.

* Together with our allies campaigning against the hostile environment for migrants in the UK, we celebrated the suspension of data sharing between the Home Office and government agencies such as the NHS last summer.

None of this would have happened without a strong movement of committed people demanding justice. It’s the support from people like you that makes our campaigns so successful.

Again, thank you for your support. I’m looking forward to hearing more about you.
