Happy Earth Day! The link between animal agriculture and environmental destruction has never been more clear. But there’s hope! Please take a moment today to share a social media post on this topic [[link removed]] with your friends and family. And be sure to check out our virtual Earth Day protest [[link removed]] to see who has been speaking up #ForTheAnimals #ForThePlanet.

Hello!

Today is Earth Day's 50th anniversary, and to celebrate, The Humane League is partnering with Earth Day Network, a nonprofit that fights for environmental protection and conservation all over the world. Together, we’re raising awareness about the link between animal agriculture and environmental harm.

With climate change a growing concern, you might be wondering how you can help, especially at a time when traditional Earth Day festivals and marches are not an option. We have you covered! Check out the information below to learn more and get involved.

I hope you’ll join us, and share this information with your friends and family, to help raise awareness about the clear connection between eating vegan and saving the planet.

Take Action

At a time when in-person gatherings are not an option, we’re taking our protest online. The Humane League will be hosting a virtual protest in honor of Earth Day from April 18-25 on our Changemaker Facebook page. [[link removed]] You can attend by creating a protest sign about trying vegan #ForThePlanet and posting a photo of yourself with it on social media.

Join an online meetup event to create your sign while connecting with other Changemakers.

When you post, remember to tag The Humane League (@thehumaneleague) and add the hashtags #ForTheAnimals #ForThePlanet, #EarthDay2020, #Earthday50, #EarthDayEveryDay!

If you'd like us to share your photo, please be sure to submit a release form [[link removed]] and send your photos to Chris at [email protected].

Eat Plants

The single most impactful thing each of us can do to help the planet is to try a vegan diet. Whether you’re just dipping your toe in the vegan waters or are already fully immersed, we have loads of great information and recipes to make plant-based eating easy and delicious.

The last month has reminded us how interconnected our planet truly is. We must work together if we’re going to save it, and to do so we must focus on taking action against the biggest threats to the environment.

Thank you for joining us to be the change for animals, and for the world. Your partnership gives me hope for a better future.

For the animals,

David Coman-Hidy
President
