Dear Friend --
This year, we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of Earth Day and our 45th anniversary.
Our tradition of fighting for clean energy runs deep
Ohio Citizen Actionâs members have a long history <[link removed]> of working for clean energy in Ohio. The organization worked hard to successfully include a "community choice" electric aggregation program in the 1999 Ohio deregulation bill. Thanks to so many of you who were with us when that hard fought battle was won, cities are now adopting this program all across the state, including Cincinnati and most recently Columbus.Â
We're continuing that tradition with the "Power A Clean Future Ohio" campaign
The Power a Clean Future Ohio campaign launched on February 10, 2020Â and over the first month reached out to over 30 cities across the state, meeting with many during that time to discuss how their communities can reduce carbon emissions and grow the clean energy economy locally.
Four cities have committed to joining the PCFO campaign: Cincinnati, Dayton, Athens, and Lancaster. Many more cities have already made progress in advancing the campaignâs goals and the initial weeks demonstrated significant momentum to build on over the next year.
For lasting political change, itâs what happens afterward that matters â whether people stay involved and committed to the cause.
Please continue our tradition of making deep rooted, lasting change in Ohio by making a special celebratory Earth Day contribution <[link removed]> today.

Happy Earth Day!
