New Independent Polling Shows Barrett Leading Hertel 48-41%

A poll released this afternoon by Noble Predictive Insights for Inside Elections shows Republican Tom Barrett leading Democrat Curtis Hertel, Jr. by seven percentage points in the top race in the country in Michigan’s 7th Congressional District.

Barrett raised $1.128 million in the most recent fundraising quarter, the most raised by any non-incumbent Republican in the country. Barrett has been endorsed by President Trump, Speaker Johnson, Leader Scalise, Whip Emmer, Conference Chair Stefanik, NRCC Chairman Hudson, and the entire Michigan Republican Congressional Delegation.

Jacob Rubashkin, writing for Inside Elections, said, “Tom Barrett holds a substantial advantage over Democrat Curtis Hertel,” while posting on X, “Warning signs for Dems in Michigan bellwether.”

Hertel’s flaccid numbers show he’s in big trouble in November.
