Hey team — I have to be honest: 

We’re seeing a slight dip in our grassroots fundraising since we began the new quarter earlier this month. 

But considering folks are on vacation and spending time with family and friends (as they should!), this summer slump isn’t very surprising — it is concerning, though. 

Here’s the issue: Republicans know that flipping seats like IL-13’s is their best bet at holding onto the House majority. So they’re going to pour all of the time, money, and resources they can into this race and attack me every step of the way. 

And here’s the good news: Our grassroots team is no stranger to hard work. Last cycle, we ran a strong campaign all the way through November, even outperforming expectations by winning a majority of the vote.

Thousands of grassroots supporters stepped up to help us power over the finish line, and I know we can beat this slump if we work together over these last four months.

So, can I count on to chip in $4 or more to help get our fundraising back on track for this final stretch? These next few months will fly by, so investing in our grassroots early is the only way to fight back.
