“I spent 38 days in Gaza at the Al-Aqsa Hospital. It was a nightmare. The conditions at the hospital were terrible. Patients filled every available space, including the hallways. The hospital had not been cleaned in months, and nothing was sterile,” reported Dr. Ali, a general surgeon consultant supported by Project HOPE.

Dawit Tsegaye, Project HOPE’s Country Director for Ethiopia explained, “As the threat of famine looms in northern Ethiopia, the health systems in Tigray and Amhara are not set up to treat the growing number of people who are malnourished.”
In places like Gaza, Ukraine, Ethiopia, and beyond, humanitarian emergencies are growing in magnitude and complexity, displacing more people from their homes. Project HOPE is determined to do all we can to save lives and provide relief, but we need your help. Please show your compassion for people enduring conflict, disasters, and other health crises by making a generous gift today.
