➜ Donald Trump spread lies about the 2020 election being stolen, saying: “Keep your eyes open, because these people want to cheat and they do cheat [...] We never want what happened in 2020 to happen again.”
➜ Outright fabrications about Joe Biden’s positive, pro-worker economic record
➜ Radical North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, who joked about the attack on House Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul, blatantly fibbed about gas prices — which have gone down under Joe Biden.
As you can imagine by just this small sample of lies from last night, our work at the CADEM Communications Department has been intense.
We prepared diligently for the Republican National Convention. We’ve even hired additional digital staff over the past few months to be ready for this moment.
But the simple fact of the matter is that misinformation and lies — especially from Donald Trump — spread like pure wildfire. And that’s why we want to refill and expand our Fact-Checking Fund .
