As you may have heard, the Kirk Center will annually award a $50,000 grand prize that recognizes the best writing, creative works, actions, or new media communications defending free speech and expression.
Additionally, two promising writers will be awarded $12,500 summer research grants to pursue projects that enhance our understanding and advocacy of Free Speech rights. Together, they will support those making an outstanding case for the perennial wisdom and ongoing necessity of the American tradition of free speech.
If you have questions about the McLellan Prizes, please feel free to email me or the staff at the Russell Kirk Center. We look forward to reading your submissions soon.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey O. Nelson, Ph.D.
