MAGA Republicans and talking heads won’t divide us.

Two weeks ago, President Biden appeared in a miserable ninety-minute debate on CNN against Trump. Those of us who saw it know it wasn’t our president’s finest hour: Biden’s cold gave him a sore throat and brought out his lifelong stutter, while his predecessor proudly gish-galloped ([link removed]) through barrels of lies.
Still, the media’s response quickly exceeded any measure of proportion, as our president was dragged through the mud and hounded to drop out of the race for two weeks straight in print and on TV.
Why were millionaire donors and cable TV pundits so eager to cast President Biden aside? The sincere part of it is their fear—the same fear we have—of the destructive plans of MAGA Republicans. The other reason is because they know the Biden-Harris administration has been fighting for workers and pulling our economy back from its current corporate-favoring tilt.
Among workers’ wins from the Biden-Harris Administration this summer:
* Protecting workers from extreme heat and other workplace hazards
* Growing the workforce, including through more Registered Apprenticeships
* Cracking down on wage theft so workers get paid what they’re owed
Read more about these and other parts of the Biden-Harris administration’s focus on workers this summer in our blog post ([link removed]) .
We won’t let the corporate media divide the progressive coalition against itself. As long as President Biden, the people’s nominee, remains in the race, he remains our candidate to stop the MAGA Republicans and continue defending freedom and building prosperity in America. Let’s have his back! ([link removed])
** Action is the antidote to anxiety. Turn off the TV, put away the paper, and help get out the vote!
------------------------------------------------------------
We must not let ourselves be frozen by our very real fear of another Trump administration or by the doomsaying and other prognostications spilling across the newspaper pages and the TV screen. Rather than wait for politics to happen to us, let’s go out and do politics ourselves. We can take action in the present to create a better future.
Our Vote page ([link removed]) is freshly stocked with ways you can contact voters in order to help win the White House, flip California Congressional seats, or hold the Senate. Whatever races you want to work on, whatever outreach methods suit you best, there is a place for you in this work. Join us!
** Volunteers welcome: We’re looking for a social media person
------------------------------------------------------------
This year is going to be busy, and we’d love a volunteer to help with publishing social media posts. We would like someone to work with us to create, schedule, and monitor posts on the Meta Suite (Facebook and Instagram) and Threads. No prior knowledge required—we can train you!
We’re also always on the lookout for more editors, or any other help you can provide. Our newsletter team meets every Tuesday night, and we would love for you to join us.
If you’re interested in volunteering, let us know at
