We just got some shocking fundraising news in this week’s FEC reports,

FIRST, Adam’s Republican opponent Steve Garvey had a better-than-expected
performance in California’s all-parties primary in March — including a
stunning first-place finish in the special open primary.
THEN, the National Republican Congressional Committee announced nearly
$6.5 MILLION in ads blanketing congressional districts in Bakersfield,
Fresno, Sacramento, and Los Angeles in a gambit to grow their House
majority.
NOW, Steve Garvey outraised Adam by over $1.2 MILLION. He raised the most
among Republican Senate candidates who aren’t already incumbents or
self-funding their campaigns.
It’s clear — the big money backing Garvey and his GOP allies is a threat
to Adam and Democrats defending this Senate seat and retaking the House
majority from Republicans.
