A slightly blurred collage of community photos. A march with yellow signs, two people hugging, a meeting, and a person talking on a megaphone are visible. There is a transparent blue overlay and a semi-transparent lighter blue box with the words "Headwaters Foundation for Justice e-newsletter" in black.

Good times at the Donor & Partners Appreciation Party

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came to our Donor & Community Partners Appreciation Party this year! This annual event is so important to us because we couldn't do this work without all of you. Did you miss this year's? Would you like an invitation to next year's? Everyone who donates to Headwaters gets an invite! We'll try to have something even cooler than swan boats next year!

Welcoming Eemanna and Angela to the team

We are so excited to welcome Eemanna Rivers and Angela Kunkel-Linares as HFJ's new Program Coordinators! They both will be a part of our community-led grantmaking work - supporting, facilitating, and building to fund Minnesota's movement organizations. Get to know Eemanna and Angela by visiting their bio pages. And make sure to say hi the next time you see them!

Our Board is growing

In addition to growing our staff, we recently added three awesome people to our Board of Directors! Join us in welcoming Alexander Robinson, Nikki Pieratos / Waasegiizhigokwe (Bright Up the Sky Woman), and Mia Divecha to the Headwaters Board. We are so grateful that these three are sharing their expertise, wisdom, and commitment to justice with us! Learn more about the folks who make up our Board of Directors at the link below.

Community jobs and events return next month! Each month, we share job opportunities and events from the Headwaters grantee community. This month, we are taking a one-month break from sharing that content, as Headwaters observes a July break for staff rest and rejuvenation. Jobs and events will return in our August e-newsletter!
