John,
Every one of us deserves to participate in the democratic process without fear. That’s as true in your town as it is across the rest of Wisconsin.
That’s why Governor Evers must call the legislature into a special session to prevent political violence in Wisconsin [[link removed]] . We are calling on him to demand that our legislators prohibit guns at all political events and polling places to ensure our safety now and at the polls on Election Day.
Taking a stand now will help us all approach the coming months with greater peace of mind. Let’s work together for a peaceful democratic process.
With thanks,
Nick

Subject: Tell Governor Evers to Take a Stand Now
Hi John,
I don’t know how you’re feeling right now, but this weekend’s events shocked – and shook me. Once again, people were terrorized by violence in a public gathering where they should have been safe.
And now, because of Wisconsin’s bizarre gun laws, the Republican National Convention’s security perimeter bans items like tennis balls and coolers, while allowing the exact type of gun that was used at the rally where former President Trump and others were injured or killed.
Contact Governor Evers now: Ask him to call the legislature into a special session to address political violence in Wisconsin. [[link removed]]
I Stand Against Political Violence! [[link removed]]
We know one thing beyond a doubt: regardless of what issues you support or who you want to vote for, no one should have to fear becoming the victim of political violence. That is true this week in Milwaukee, at your polling place in November, and every other day of the year.
To keep us safe as we participate in our country’s Democratic process, firearms should be prohibited at the RNC, all other political events, and polling places. Our legislators have the power to enact these changes. To begin the process, Governor Evers must call a special session of the state legislature. Contact the Governor now and urge him to act swiftly. We do not accept this reality, and we will continue working for the commonsense solutions we know will make us safer.
