A profound and detrimental change has occurred within our lifetime. With the introduction of government assistance in the mid—1960s which required no adult male in the home, we have observed the complete destruction of the American black culture. More specifically, we have witnessed the black community decline from 80 percent two-parent families to 80 percent fatherless homes - without one national initiative to reverse the trend.
We believe that the breakdown of the black family is the root cause of these disparities, not systemic racism, white privilege or institutional racism. We must address this foundational issue to foster meaningful, generational change.
As problem solvers, we have solutions to ignite a national transformation.
1. A return to the traditional Christian faith and values that were the norm of the culture before government “help” arrived.
2. Launch Washington Academy schools in churches throughout the country that ensure:
a. high academic standards.
b. teach moral values that include the importance of having children after marriage.
c. teach civics and holistic US History so students graduate as proud Americans.
3. ensure students graduate workforce ready with professional trades certification, IT certification or ready for college.
We are confident that these solutions will restore black and other minority communities to their cultural roots of faith, family and education (securing a good education for their children) so they can join the ranks as productive and proud Americans.
