We recently launched our latest petition action against Live Action’s anti-abortion video “Baby Olivia” and the spat of laws in various states that would mandate teachers show a video filled with anti-abortion lies and inflammatory rhetoric to students.
Schools should be safe places for students to explore, develop opinions about the world, and grapple with ideas. They should not be places where groups pushing to ban all abortions (as well as IVF and contraception) can spread misinformation that has been debunked by numerous medical professionals.
As much as would love to flip a switch and have unfettered reproductive rights, we know the fight for access to abortion and reproductive justice is a generational fight. Which is why it is imperative to stop anti-abortion groups from infiltrating school curriculums.
