Does state policy environment and language affect perinatal care?
A recent study from the University of Minnesota found perinatal care utilization and quality vary among Hispanic birthing people by primary language and state policy environment. States with Medicaid expansion and immigrant Medicaid coverage had greater equity between Spanish-speaking and English-speaking Hispanic people and adequate prenatal and postpartum care.

Investing in community power: Insights from a decade of California&rsquo;s climate investments
Ten years after California&rsquo;s Climate Investments (CCI), and with nearly $10 billion invested, the Greenlining Institute and the Equity Research Institute at the University of Southern California undertook a comprehensive review of CCI. They examined where the funding is going; whether marginalized communities were centered in its goals, processes, and outcomes; and how strengths and shortcomings could be identified and addressed.
