Jill Stein for President

Friend,

We are now two days into the Republican National Convention, and it’s been a predictable circus side-show of right-wing extremism.

Despite calls for unity in the wake of the Pennsylvania rally shooting, Trump immediately appointed one of the most radical, fundamentalist members of our federal government as his running mate – JD Vance.

In the first 48 hours of the RNC we witnessed a parade of all the most radical right-wing voices in mainstream politics – from Donald Trump to Tom Cotton to Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Their “noxious” and “reprehensible” (JD Vance’s words, not mine) agenda would set our country back by a century or more. And what have Democrats done to answer this existential threat to our democracy?

They are insisting we line up behind the LEAST popular incumbent in history, who is currently spiraling in the polls and rapidly losing the faith of the American people because – “we have no other choice.”

They’re wrong. We
always have a choice.

Each part of the agenda at the RNC is communicating a clear set of priorities. They are clearly telegraphing their intent to assault what remains of our constitutional republic. In response, Democrats are doing little more than lighting candles and hoping for the best.

We see that reflected in the scores of “unnamed Democrats” who have already resigned to a 2nd Trump presidency.

A screenshot of a tweet from Jake Tapper that
reads: “A senior House Democrat tells Axios: “We’ve all resigned
ourselves to a second Trump presidency.”

These Democrats may have surrendered to American fascism, but we have NOT. This campaign is the only anti-genocide, pro-worker, pro-planet, pro-peace campaign on track to be on the ballot across the country this November. We need your support to push back against right wing extremism and to fight back against state Democratic parties trying to kick us off the ballot. Can you give today?

DONATE NOW

Here’s the dirty little secret: mainstream Democrats are in no way prepared to counter the open threat of Republican fascism because, on most issues, they actually agree.

I’m at the RNC this week with fellow activists to confront these fascist ideologies directly, and present a message of people, planet, and peace as the way forward.

A collage of three photos from the protests
outside the RNC in Milwaukee. From Left to Right, Top to Bottom: Poor
People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign co-founder Cheri Honkala,
squaring off with local police (photos 1 and 2), and Jill Stein being
interviewed by local media as pro-Palestine protests gather behind
her.

If democracy is on the ballot – which it is – we must stand tall against the GOP with a bold agenda for working people, protecting the planet and promoting peace.

Instead the Democrats are playing coy with some of the most dangerous political actors on the American stage today, all to keep their corporate sponsors happy.

We reject the politics of dead-end doomer-ism and choose to fight for a future where working people can thrive.

In solidarity and gratitude,

Jill
