Hello again John xxxxxx,

Thank you to those who joined us for last week's episode with CAL FIRE Battalion Chief Jeremy Brant, VTC Program Coordinator Michelle Garcia, and Kurt Pinelli, VTC participant and soon-to-be CAL FIRE firefighter!

A very special shoutout to our friends who have stuck with us since the beginning of the Fireside Chat series (nearly six weeks ago!!!) when we saw a need for a forum to discuss COVID-19 through a criminal justice reform lens. Now, we're excited to use this platform to expand our conversations. If anything, the pandemic has laid bare the faults in many systems - health, justice, economic, and otherwise - and it is more imperative than ever that we work creatively and collaboratively to heal our communities.

That's why we are thrilled to announce this week's topic, which you'll definitely want to tune in for:

This week, we'll be discussing FAMILIES: separation, remote parenting, and serving children whose parents are incarcerated. Our fearless host, Sam Lewis, will be joined by Karen McDaniel, Executive Director of Place4Grace, based in California, Bree Anderson, Co-Founder of Daughters Beyond Incarceration, based in Louisiana, and Tiffany Brown, Executive Director of Developing Despite Distance, based in Michigan.
Join us this Friday at noon as we lift the voices of some of the most invisible people affected by mass incarceration - our kids. #ARCFiresideChat
