For the next three days, Donald Trump, J.D. Vance, and their MAGA supporters will cement their extremist platform and rally support to help them take back the White House and Congress and flip governors' seats in key battleground states like North Carolina. They will also use this event to raise millions of dollars to oppose Democrats – and without your help to defeat them, they could win.

Across the country, far-right Republican candidates who are pushing extremist agendas that will take our county backward are running for governor. Like in North Carolina, Republicans nominated Mark Robinson, a far-right conspiracy theorist who wants to ban abortion without exceptions. And in New Hampshire, GOP front-runner Kelly Ayotte led the charge for a national abortion ban.

Far-right Republicans are working night and day to strip away abortion rights, weaken the right to vote, undermine our democracy, threaten LGBTQ+ Americans, and block gun safety reforms. Because of this, millions of Americans are at risk of losing their fundamental rights and freedoms as equal citizens.

I think that’s BS.

Democratic governors like myself are fighting to expand our most fundamental rights, working as a backstop to GOP attacks and doing everything in our power to protect our democracy. But ALL of our progress hinges on defending and expanding our blue firewall of Democratic governors – and we can’t do it alone!

There is zero margin for error this November, especially as extreme Republicans continue their relentless attacks on democracy. We have the power to stop them – but we can’t do it without supporters like you.
