At first glance, Donald Trump’s pick for vice president—Ohio Senator J.D. Vance—and my opponent, Texas Representative John Carter, might seem to have little in common.

J.D. Vance is a millennial, a first-time elected official, and a junior by any account. John Carter is on the other end of the spectrum—an octogenarian and 11-time incumbent, and a stalwart of the Republican vanguard in Congress.

But looks can be deceiving...

These two men are cut from the same cloth, and both are a danger to our republic.

J.D. Vance has called for a nationwide abortion ban with no exceptions. John Carter co-sponsored the bill to do exactly that.
J.D. Vance wants to gut Social Security and Medicare. John Carter has voted to do so.
J.D. Vance says that he wouldn’t have certified the 2020 presidential election on January 6. John Carter voted against certification.

J.D. Vance and my opponent, John Carter, are in lockstep with Donald Trump. None of these men should hold federal office next year.

I’m doing everything I can to unseat John Carter in November. Frankly though, I need your help: Anything you can contribute now to help me will go a long way in countering the millions Carter has raised from D.C. lobbyists and defense contractors.
