Throughout our movement for change, John, I’ve talked to folks who raised their children in Southwest Washington, whose children are raising their own children here. Now, I’m raising my daughter, Tennyson, here in our community -- and not a day goes by on the campaign trail that I don’t think about her generation and what our movement for change can inspire them to do.
John, from the start, this has been a campaign about people. It’s about Patrick C., who has lived in Southwest Washington his entire life and is worried about “health care … and other pressing issues such as the environment.” It’s about Teresa R. and Keith B., who wrote to us that they want “leadership to reshape and strengthen the Congress's resolve and results.” It’s about Phillip J., who is “drawing on [his] unemployment, but knows [he] will get by.” Bluntly put, our campaign is about a better future for us all.
For too long, my opponent Jaime Herrera Beutler has refused to be a strong advocate for our community in Congress when we needed her most -- but her actions have spoken volumes. But we know better, and that’s why our campaign for change is on track to raise more than any other congressional race in Washington Third’s history. John, we can’t slow down now. If you’re able to today -- and it’s okay if you can’t -- we hope that you’ll consider making a donation. If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately.
Thank you for all that you do, and all that you will continue to do with us. Now more than ever, we know how meaningful your support is -- and for that, we are so grateful. -- Carolyn |
