It’s not uncommon to see a summer fundraising slump this time of year, John, but we weren’t expecting it to be quite this bad:

This really couldn’t be happening at a worse time, and here’s why:

We are less than 4 months away from Election Day, which means we’re running out of time to make the case to voters that they should support Democrats up and down the ballot.

The reality is that a huge fundraising boost a day or two before the election doesn’t give us time to talk to voters, run ads, and swing races.

The earlier people give, and the more resources we can stockpile right now, the bigger the impact we can have in critical races from the House to the White House.

Basically, your dollar goes further now than it will in November.
