I was deeply horrified by the recent attack on former President Trump.

I'm grateful for the quick response from law enforcement and relieved he is safe. My heart goes out to the family of Corey Comperatore, the brave firefighter who lost his life protecting his loved ones. Violence has no place in our country. We must unite against hate and show through our actions that we are better than this.

We are all still processing this weekend's attack, and as I’ve heard from many of you across our community, I know there is a lot of worry and uncertainty about the future. But this terrible event does not define who we are, John. We are a stronger, better country, and it's up to us to prove it through our actions. Together, we can rise to the occasion.

With the election approaching in a few months, the choices we make will significantly impact Colorado and the entire country. We will keep advocating for our principles and clearly presenting our positive vision, ensuring that voters understand our stance on key issues when they cast their ballots this fall.
