You are already doing a million things to make due in this crazy time.
Maybe you’re making masks or distributing food. Maybe you’re figuring out how to care for a loved one or home-school your kid full-time now. Maybe you and your family are just treading water. Wherever you are, thank you for everything you’ve done and are doing to help build this movement.
I’ve never been more proud to be a part of anything as I am to be a part of this campaign, with you, in this moment.
And one of the ways I’m finding joy is hopping onto your Zoom calls… with friends, family, co-workers, union members, fellow students, neighbors--you name it.
This is an especially great way for folks out-of-state to pitch in. As the presidential race has simplified, the national spotlight is shifting to West Virginia. The New Yorker [[link removed]] , American Prospect [[link removed]] , and The Intercept [[link removed]] have all run profiles of our campaign in the last month--highlighting the inspiring work that our volunteers have done to “turn our campaign for Governor into a COVID response team.” (from Business Insider [[link removed]] )
We’d love the chance to share that story with you and your friends.
It’s pretty simple. If you think you can get 7 or more people together (doesn’t matter who), shoot me an email and we’ll schedule an hour-long “meet-and-greet.” I’ll tell my story and the story of how we’re responding to the crisis and then we’ll open it up for questions. The topics can be as broad or specific as you like. At the very end, I’ll encourage folks to follow-up with me if they’re interested in pitching into the campaign as a donor or volunteer--but there’s no hard ask. Easy peasy.
It’s not quite as fun as all being in the same room… but it’s pretty darn close.
So, what do you say?
Email me at [email protected] [[email protected]] . Tell me a little bit about who you’re thinking of getting together and a few dates/times that might work (the 7-8pm hour is often best for me, but I’m flexible).
Hope to hear from you soon,
Stephen
