[1]Lucas Kunce for U.S. Senate
John — after all
the second quarter fundraising reports were filed with the Federal
Election Commission yesterday, we learned that our grassroots movement to
elect Lucas Kunce outraised Josh Hawley’s campaign AGAIN. By a lot.
In a moment, I’m going to explain exactly what this means for our U.S.
Senate race here in Missouri. But first I have to ask, [ [link removed] ]will you help
keep this momentum going by chipping in your very first donation today?

These reports marked the end of another record-breaking quarter — and not
just for fundraising. Lucas raised the most ever for a Missouri Senate
challenger in Q2 of an election year, with support from real people in all
114 Missouri counties and the City of St. Louis. He also earned major
endorsements from UAW, VoteVets, AFSCME, and Abortion Action Missouri.
At every stop on the campaign trail, from town halls and labor meetings to
the people he meets along parade routes in every corner of Missouri,
working people have turned out in huge crowds to support Lucas and this
unparalleled grassroots movement we’ve built together. They’re fired up to
defeat Josh Hawley this year.

Lucas’ message of taking back power for everyday people is already
resonating with voters of all parties, all across the state. That’s why,
even before starting paid communications, a recent poll showed Lucas
gaining on Hawley — even winning by 5% among independents while Hawley
lags 10% behind Trump.
Unlike other GOP-held U.S. Senate seats we’re fighting for this year,
Missouri has a real record of split-ticket voters.
In Jason Kander’s race, Missouri’s last U.S. Senate race during a
presidential election, hundreds of thousands of Kander-Trump voters helped
him close the gap from a 14% deficit to a near victory against popular
incumbent Senator Roy Blunt. Kander outperformed the presidential ticket
by nearly 16%.
And don’t forget about Todd Akin, whose anti-abortion extremism resulted
in his double-digit lead swinging to a massive win for Democrats — who
outperformed the presidential race by 25% that year.
Jason Kander himself wrote that not only is Hawley vulnerable this year —
but that Lucas Kunce can beat him. And even Donald Trump agreed.

Hawley won his first U.S. Senate race with only 51% of the vote — and he
underperformed Trump’s margin in the previous presidential cycle by 13%.
Any loss of support for Hawley will jeopardize his chances of being
re-elected. After all, he’s already the least popular GOP Senator up for
re-election this year.

Now, in Hawley’s first election since the Dobbs decision, he’ll share a
ballot with a massively energizing initiative to end Missouri’s total
abortion ban (which Hawley supports) and restore reproductive freedoms
(which Hawley helped end).
Reproductive rights — from abortion to birth control to IVF — are
motivating voters more than ever. We’ve seen it just over the last few
years in red and purple states like Kansas, Ohio, Kentucky, and Alabama,
where voters have overwhelmingly supported similar measures to enshrine
abortion rights and rejected anti-reproductive freedom candidates at the
ballot box.
But here in Missouri, we’ve got Josh Hawley. He’s built a whole career —
even a family business — on banning the whole spectrum of reproductive
rights. And in the past six years, he’s made a terrifying amount of
progress in that mission.

freedom.

Hawley believes his mission to outlaw all abortions is just as important
and brave as the efforts by American abolitionists to end slavery. So
while other GOP candidates have made attempts to moderate their positions,
Hawley has made it clear he won’t be doing the same.
Hawley even publicly rebuked the GOP platform, and proudly declared
himself to be an extremist well outside the norm of mainstream Republican
voters.

Trump, is claiming he's alright with abortion pills. Tweet from Lucas that
reads: It's official— Josh Hawley is more extreme on abortion than both
the republican ticket and the republican platform in 2024!

No U.S. Senator has a worse record on reproductive rights than Josh
Hawley.
If we have the resources to communicate Lucas’ message and the truth about
Hawley’s record to voters in the weeks ahead, we can defeat Josh Hawley
and take this seat back for real Missourians. It’s happened before, and we
can make it happen again. But we need your help to do it,
John.
[ [link removed] ]So please, will you rush a donation of absolutely any amount today so
we can deliver Lucas’ election-winning message to voters and flip this
U.S. Senate seat on November 5th? Lucas isn’t taking a cent from corporate
PACs, so we’re counting on help from real people like you to continue
building this movement.
