John, it's Kayli, campaign manager for Team Emily Busch. Before today's team meeting – and before I ask you to chip in toward Emily's campaign for Congress – I wanted to reach out with the less-than-ideal news I have to report:

Our last FEC Reporting Deadline is tomorrow, and according to the latest numbers, we're still $5,079 short of meeting our goal.

This is a really big issue for our team. Besides helping us show the reach of Emily's campaign on paper, a strong FEC report helps us:

1️⃣ Show prospective partners, reporters, and of course, members of the GOP the depth of support for Emily's community-first movement

2️⃣ Continue to ramp up our field efforts to share Emily's pro-safety, pro-choice, and pro-labor vision for South Michigan

3️⃣ Expand the budget for more essential campaign materials – things like yard signs, literature, and supplies for our canvassers.

With the August primary just weeks away, we can't miss a single opportunity to show the strength of Emily's campaign. In one of the most competitive districts in the state, will you help us raise the $5,079 we need to meet our online goal with a donation today?

Thank you,

Kayli

Campaign Manager, Team Emily Busch

Emily Busch

Emily first learned the importance of community and helping others from her mom, a nurse, and dad, a manufacturing representative, while growing up in a tight-knit, middle-class Midwestern family.

The proud product of public schools, Emily worked hard in and out of the classroom, balancing her studies and interest in performing arts with an after-school job as a cashier at Ace Hardware. She went on to earn her B.A. in Biology from Indiana University and Masters from Michigan State University.

Now, Emily is running for Congress in Michigan’s 10th District to keep our kids safe, protect our rights, and lower costs for Michigan families.

Emily chose to move to Oakland County two decades ago because it was the place she wanted to raise her family – a place with friendly neighbors, good schools, and safe neighborhoods.

She and her husband, a retired firefighter and Marine, enjoy camping, fishing, and visiting national parks in their free time.
