It's the 10th anniversary of the BP Deepwater Horizon disaster,
the largest accidental oil spill in history. But instead of
staying vigilant and taking action to prevent future spills,
President Trump is... giving them an anniversary present?

Yes, Trump is relaxing safety rules and now talking about
bailing out Big Oil.

There have been 13,187 smaller spills in America's Gulf waters
since the Horizon, and the risk of another big one is very real.
Yet the Trump Administration is allowing independent inspections
to end, and weakening spill reporting requirements.

We can't let them get away with it.

This morning, President Trump tweeted that he's instructed
Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin to bail out the oil and gas
industry -- one of the most profitable industries on the planet.
While we should look out for unemployed workers in every
industry, big oil corporations definitely do NOT need a bailout.

With more money needed for small businesses and our health care
system right now, you might think Mitch McConnell and his caucus
would focus there. But instead, Senate Republicans are lobbying
for the oil industry -- and you can bet the industry will pay them
back. Big Oil spent $125 million on lobbying last year, and that
number could be even higher in 2020.

political donations and help us retake the Senate in November.
