Fogelman
Hello from the State Capitol,
I hope you are enjoying your summer and taking advantage of the nice weather!
In my last update, I discussed the growing problem of fraud in our state. It appears that problem continues to spread, as we’ve learned the Department of Human Services (DHS) is investigating Minnesota autism centers for possible Medicaid fraud.
The reports of rampant fraud are not only troublesome but scary. In this latest example, two sitting Democrat legislators are directly connected to the program and the DHS investigative unit. Reports show that the number of providers has increased 700% in the last five years, and payments to those providers has exploded by 3000%. And yet, our Democrat majority has no interest in holding hearings or demanding answers.
To date, we have $250 million in documented fraud in the Feeding Our Future case, $100 million in fraud in childcare/CCAP, $50 million in Medicaid fraud, and $45 million in frontline worker pay fraud. And those are just the examples that we know about. Meanwhile, the Walz administration does nothing to address the problem and the legislative majority has no interest investigating it. Minnesota’s taxpayers deserve better.

*PRAYERS FOR VICTIMS OF PRESIDENT TRUMP’S ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT*
Like you, I was shocked and dejected over the assassination attempt on President Trump this weekend. This senseless and disgusting act left one man dead who was trying to protect his family from being hit by gunfire and left two others hospitalized. And let’s not forget President Trump, who came within an inch of losing his life.
It is truly sad that people are being targeted for the views they hold and the candidates they support. Political violence is shameful and is never acceptable. Please join me in praying for the shooting victims and their families.
*PLEASE CONTACT ME WITH YOUR LEGISLATIVE NEEDS*
