I know these emails can be too long to read, so I’ll keep this brief. Here are three things you need to know about my race:

1) We are one of the closest congressional races in Pennsylvania – and one of the closest in the country as well. The path for Democrats to take back the majority in the House runs right through PA-17, so it’s crucial that we hold on to this seat come November.

2) If we lose, I’ll be replaced by an anti-choice, far-right extremist. My opponent believes some crazy stuff – he’s supported abortion bans, tried to raise the voting age to take away the right to vote, and he'd be part of the extremists in Congress who have nothing to offer hardworking folks in Western Pennsylvania.

3) Frankly, we’ve got our work cut out for us. The official campaign arm of the Republican party and other dark money right-wing groups have made defeating me a top priority. They’re already spending big money in this race and running attack ads against me. The only way we can fight back is with support from Pennsylvanians like you.
