PARROTT CAMPAIGN OUTRAISES DELANEY;
HAS MORE CASH ON HAND

Washington County – Federal Election Commission (FEC) reporting shows that the Parrott Campaign outraised the Delaney Campaign in the 2nd Quarter of 2024. Parrott raised $258,365 to Delaney’s $209,297.

In addition, the Parrott Campaign has more cash on hand. Parrott has $222,394 while Delaney has $217,099

Perhaps the biggest takeaway, however, is that while the vast majority of the funds raised for Parrott are from individuals inside of Maryland’s 6th Congressional District, Delaney raised less than 1% of her money from individuals living in the district.

Additionally, while Parrott lives in Hagerstown, the geographical center of the district he is running to represent, Delaney lives in Potomac where her drive to DC is closer than her 20-minute drive to enter the outermost part of CD-6 in Gaithersburg.

Parrott indicated, “I am extremely grateful for the strong showing of support from donors throughout District 6, and for all of the people who worked diligently to help us exceed our fundraising goal.”

On the other hand, Delaney is relying on special-interest DC PACs, her connections from her appointment in the Biden Administration, and her friends in the DC area where she lives.

While Neil Parrott plans to vote for Parrott for Congress in November, Delaney lives in CD-8 and is planning to vote for her Congressman, Jamie Raskin, who is well known as an extremely radical, left-leaning Congressmen.

Maryland’s Congressional District 6 includes all of Garrett, Allegany, Washington and Frederick Counties as well as the northern portion of Montgomery County.

Parrott has connections within the district having represented Washington County in the Maryland House of Delegates from 2011 to 2023. He also worked in Garrett, Allegany, Washington, and Frederick Counties while working for State Highway Administration. He served as the Deputy Director of Public Works for Engineering with the City of Frederick, and then started his own traffic engineering firm that operates throughout the entire District 6.

Neil and his wife April also started Hagerstown Area Summer Swimming where Neil serves as the head coach. Over the past nine years, the low-cost program has served over 500 families in the Washington County area through swim lessons and swim team programs.

Parrott enjoys talking with voters as he goes about his day-to-day activities of work, shopping, going to church, going out to eat, and recreation.

Parrott believes that a representative in Congress should live in the district they plan to represent just like is required for all elected positions except for US Congress in the State. While serving as a Delegate, Parrott introduced a bill that would require in-district residency requirements for members of Congress in Maryland.
