Dear John,

This Thursday we have the initial hearing for our recount challenge, where the judge will determine the parameters and scope of the recount. We are seeking a complete recount, with a hand count and paper ballot match to the reported machine results.

Our desire is to identify any mistakes, correct any malfeasance, and ensure that the ultimate result reflects the true intent of every legal and legitimate participating voter. Everyone should want the same thing.

I believe that the majority of Republican voters in Virginia’s 5^th District continue to support me as their representative. I believe that my nomination would give us the best opportunity to hold this seat in November. And I believe that I can best help President Trump win Virginia. This is why this recount challenge is so important.
