The Republican National Convention is underway, and we wanted to tell you a bit about their Project 2025 agenda.
The Heritage Foundation, an ultra-right-wing think tank assembled a 920-page agenda to alter this country fundamentally by making the President a quasi-dictator, gutting democratic checks and balances, politicizing our government agencies, enacting a nationwide abortion ban, and shutting down the Department of Education – all while giving polluters a fair pass and giving away our public lands.
Here are just a few ‘highlights’ of what they hope to accomplish:
🛑 Ban abortion and birth control nationwide
🛑 Empower the presidency to go after political opponents
🛑 Gut Social Security, Medicare, and Obamacare
🛑 Raise taxes through tariffs and giveaways to billionaires and giant corporations
🛑 Reduce the size and scope of our protected public lands
Listen, we aren’t trying to scare you, but you need to know what Project 2025 is promising. These are truly the policies that could be implemented if we don’t win this November.
This is serious, and it is imperative that we defeat this agenda in the fall. The good news is that we’ve defeated this type of agenda before and we can do it again – IF we vote.
We can, and WE WILL do it again in 2024. With your vote and your voice, we can re-elect the Biden-Harris ticket, send Yadira Caraveo back to Congress, and elect Democrats up and down the ballot. It’s within our power. Will you commit today to vote for Democrats in November? >>
