Last week we got great news from organizers on the ground in Washington, Ohio, and Indiana. We needed 1,000 valid signatures in Washington State and, on July 3rd, we submitted over 2,200 signatures. This was an ALL volunteer effort, so a huge shout out to the Washington Green Party and all the dedicated volunteers who helped collect signatures! The following week in Ohio, on July 9, over 11,500 signatures were submitted; we needed 5,000 valid signatures.

In addition, petitioners collected 55,000 signatures in Indiana- a herculean effort. No Green Party candidate has yet been on the ballot in Indiana due to the law requiring nearly 37,000 valid signatures.

Ballot access continues to be the biggest expense of our campaign. But it is a necessary price to ensure that a majority of voters have a pro-worker, anti-genocide, climate action candidate on their ballots in November. In the next few weeks, there are ten more states that have signature submission deadlines which means we need to raise a lot of money in July.
