Hi there, friend,
Our founding fathers made it clear: we need freedom of religion in this country, and to make that happen, we need religion and government to remain separate from one another.
But in a recent speech at Bridge Church, extremist McGraw hinted at what he really believes:
“There is this false doctrine, that is (air quotes) political, that you cannot mix church and government and all that. Actually it is not politics, it is governance. God cares about governance. His word had so much to say about how we should govern.”
McGraw seems to think that the Bible should shape how the American government operates. It made us ask ourselves: does he want a theocracy?
If you agree with our founding fathers that McGraw is flat out wrong, on this and for our district, consider contributing $10 to Eric’s campaign.
At a time when right-wing Christian Nationalism is threatening freedom of religion, we need fighters who’ll uphold our protected, Constitutional rights.
Eric firmly agrees, and as long as he’s in office, he’ll do everything in his power to uphold the First Amendment and defend freedom of religion for his constituents in IL-17 and folks across the country.
If you’re with Eric on this, will you chip in $10 or more to help us defeat radical Joe McGraw?
