By now, you may have seen John James’ speech from last night’s Republican National Convention, where he spews lies and leans on his military background.
What James conveniently left out was his eager support for Project 2025, and how this plan will slam the door on the people who fought alongside him, Impacting the lives of thousands of our retired men and women who’ve served our country in the armed forces.
 Project 2025 promises to cut disability benefits for veterans.
That’s not hyperbole – the Project 2025 handbook created by John James’ cronies makes clear that the Department of Veterans Affairs needs to reduce the list of health conditions that could qualify as a disability.
Care for PTSD? Gone.
Support for injuries that stemmed from battle wounds? Gone.
Where does the money go? If James’ past spending is any suggestion, he’ll use his House office budget to run ads on TV promoting himself. That's right, YOUR TAX DOLLARS are being wasted on TV ads instead of care for our servicepeople.
As the candidate endorsed by the Michigan Democratic Party Veterans’ Caucus, I won’t stand for ANY of it. And that’s why now more than ever we need bold, scrappy fighters who’ll push boundaries to right wrongs. We need strong people to face this threat.
