John,

We should all take a step back for a moment and think about what kind of country we want to live in.

Over the past few months, we’ve seen the political temperature in this country reach the boiling point.

Here’s the truth: it is up to all of us to make a decision right now.

We can choose to stay divided, to descend further into political chaos.

Or, we can come together.

We can stand united against any and all forms of political violence.

We can reject the hatred, anger, and division that is adding fuel to the fire.

I know what path I choose.

This is a defining moment in our nation’s history that transcends political lines. The fabric of our nation–the values and principles we cherish, must be upheld and protected for future generations.

It’s time to return to normalcy and find common ground for the common good.

It’s time to put country before party once again.

If you agree, I’m humbly asking you to join me in my mission to put an end to the political divisiveness and stand up for all Americans.

When I decided to run for the U.S. Senate, I did so with the firm conviction that I would not compromise my principles for any person or any political party. Rather than fall in line to score political points, I would stand up for what I believe in and do what is right.

It’s how I approached serving as Maryland’s governor for eight years, and it’s the same leadership style I will bring to the U.S. Senate.

If you agree that it’s time to bring down the political temperature and unite as Americans, please consider joining me today.

Thank you,

Governor Larry Hogan

A Personal Message from Governor Larry Hogan:

Hi, it’s Governor Larry Hogan.

When I launched my campaign for the U.S. Senate, I did so with a deep resolve to maintain the leadership style and principles that guided me during my eight years as governor.

Fifty years ago, my father, Maryland Congressman Larry Hogan Sr. made a tough decision. He became the first Republican to come out for the impeachment of President Nixon. He put aside party politics and his own personal considerations and stepped up to do the right thing for Maryland and the nation.

Today, Washington is completely broken because that kind of leadership and willingness to put country over party has become far too rare. But it’s not in my nature to sit back and watch the dysfunction continue without doing what I can to roll up my sleeves and get to work.

I’m under no illusion this will be an easy road. But I’m no stranger to uphill battles, and I know I can’t do it without your support.

I don't aspire to be a United States senator. I don’t need a title and I don’t need a job, but I’m more concerned than ever about the direction of the country and I have become more convinced that I can make a difference by taking the approach and style of leadership I had during my eight years as governor to Washington.

It’s no surprise this mindset has made me a target of the Washington partisans. Despite early polls showing a lead, I know I’m the underdog in this race. And that’s why your support TODAY is so crucial.

So if you can chip in a donation of $25 or more, it will go a long way in helping me continue building a strong campaign.

For eight years, we proved that the toxic politics that divide our nation didn’t need to divide our state, and we got results! Let’s get back to work again and send a message to Washington that will be heard loud and clear across the country!

Will you join me today and help end the dysfunction in Washington?
Thank you,

Larry Hogan
