Friend, thanks to our generous supporters, the Alzheimer's Association has made incredible progress as we work to advance critical research, provide care and support and advocate to make the fight against Alzheimer's disease a national priority. As you'll see below, our community is making a real difference in the lives of the millions impacted by Alzheimer's and all other dementia.
Care and Support
The generous support of our community brings help and hope to everyone impacted by Alzheimer's today.

Over 200,000 calls and online chats were received by the 24/7 Helpline in 2023.
|
444 active Association volunteers have delivered 49,760 programs to help those in their community who have been impacted by Alzheimer's. When equated to hours served, that equals 149,280 hours — or $4.7 million in contributed support.
|
We have 3,119 unique support groups across the country that hold monthly meetings both in-person and virtually. This year, our support groups served more than 52,000 people across the country to give those living with Alzheimer's and their loved ones access to care and support.

Research
Our donors' support enables us to drive promising research toward new treatments and, one day, a cure.
|
|
|
|
|
$405 million is currently being invested in over 1,100 active projects in 56 countries, spanning six continents.
|
Over 9,700 people have registered to join top researchers at the 2024 Alzheimer's Association International Conference® (AAIC®) to share critical updates and exciting discoveries.
|
2,000 people enrolled in the Association-led U.S. POINTER study that will help us better understand the relationship between lifestyle intervention and dementia risk.
|
|
Advocacy
Donations from our community help us advocate for public policies to increase research funding and support all those affected.
|
|
|
|
|
Advocacy by the Alzheimer's Association has increased the federal funding for Alzheimer's and dementia research to as much as $3.8 billion annually — a more than seven-fold increase in the last decade.
|
Advocates used digital platforms to make over 115,000 connections with lawmakers regarding public policy issues.
|
The Association held more than 400 events with members of Congress, including the State Dementia Services Coordinator (DSC) Summit in Washington, D.C.

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, Walk to End Alzheimer's® is the world's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research. To register and participate in a Walk near you, visit alz.org/Walk.

The Longest Day® is the day with the most light — the summer solstice. Each year on a day that works for them, participants raise funds through an activity of their choice including sports tournaments, card games, baking and more to fight the darkness of Alzheimer's and all other dementia.
