A little known fact about me: I’m passionate about animals.
I have been a proud dog owner and though our sweet dog Scarlet is no longer with us, when she battled cancer on her snout a few years ago -- I did everything I could to make sure she got the best care available.
I believe that the way you treat animals -- speaks volumes about you as a person. They can’t speak or advocate for themselves, so it’s on us to look out for their well-being.
Right now, the private owners of exotic animals are receiving a lot of attention -- with the welfare of these often endangered species falling by the wayside.
We can and must do better, John. So today I invite you to join me in calling for an end to the private ownership of big cats >>
We don’t need more Tiger Kings. We need legislation to protect these powerful wild animals from bad actors who look to exploit and abuse them for profit.
