Friends,
It is difficult to fathom the events of this past weekend—the attempted assassination of the 45th President of the United States, which resulted in President Trump injured, one man killed, and two critically injured.
I want to take a moment to remind all of us that amid such turbulent and dark times, God is sovereign and His mighty hand is upon this nation. As believers, take heart and fix your eyes on Him who is Justice, our Defender, and our eternal hope.
First, we pray for the family of the man who was killed and for the healing of those who are critically injured. We pray for the safety of our nation and those in leadership. We pray for the eyes of our nation to be opened to see evil and destruction, and to turn from their ways.
In a time of division, we must speak truth in love to our neighbors. In light of what’s taking place in our country, one of the most practical ways to do this is to register to vote, encourage others to register, and ultimately, vote biblically.
