North Carolina Republican legislators recently made it easier for GOP mega-donors to pour endless sums of cash into propping up my opponent — all while obscuring the donors’ identities. They’re trying to let the rich and powerful buy our elections with dark money.

If you already know how damaging this could be for North Carolina’s future, please give just $10 or whatever you can before my mid-month deadline at midnight.

It’s clear that the far-right knows that their extremist gubernatorial nominee is unpopular here in NC and they’re willing to go to any lengths to prop up his campaign and flip this office from blue to red.

That’s why they’ve changed the laws in the final months of this campaign to help far-right donors from around the country funnel money into Mark Robinson’s pockets with NO accountability.

Look, in the interest of full transparency, it’s important you know money WILL play a big role in who wins this toss-up race. Mark Robinson and his allies are already spending millions to try and tarnish my reputation on the airwaves with attack ads, and we have to be able to keep up with them dollar-for-dollar.

John, I’m reaching out now because if we fail to raise the resources we’ve planned for this month, we might have to make hard decisions about where to cut back. In a race this competitive, that could spell disaster for our chances.
