My Statement on the Attempted Assassination of President Trump

Political violence of any kind is wholly unacceptable and has no place in our country. We are grateful that President Trump is doing well and condemn the assassination attempt in the strongest possible terms. Congress must conduct a full investigation into this horrific incident.

The SAVE Act

Biden's reckless open border policies have created the crisis we see at our southern border, allowing millions of illegal aliens into our country.

It is critical that Americans have trust in our election systems and that we ensure that only legal citizens are participating. That's why I was proud to support the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which bolsters election integrity laws and requires proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections.

Visiting with the Illinois Dental Society

Thank you to Dr. Mike Danner and the Illinois Dental Society for hosting us at the Illinois Mission of Mercy at the Peoria Civic Center!

Illinois Mission of Mercy provides free dental care to those who otherwise don’t have the means to receive care. I’m grateful to Dr. Danner and all the volunteer dentists, hygienists, and nurses who came out to help those in need!

Illinois' Economic Health

Illinois ranks last in economic health, and Springfield's plan to fix it is another tax and spending spree. It is past time to restore fiscal sanity in Illinois and allow hardworking families to keep more of their hard earned money.

My Interview with Peter Roskam

It was great to join former Congressman Peter Roskam to discuss the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and our strategic competition with China.

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act moved 6 million people out of poverty and allowed our main street businesses to flourish.  Making these cuts permanent before they expire in 2025 will unleash innovation and help provide financial relief for families across the nation.

Countering Terrorist Activity in the Middle East

During this tense time in the Middle East we must ensure terrorist groups like Hezbollah are not further emboldened. Supporting the LAF provides more stability in the region and helps prevent further conflict and unnecessary deaths.  

As a member of the Select Committee on Intelligence, I will continue to make sure our national security interests remain at the forefront of our agenda and combat terrorism at its source.
