James, the assassination attempt on the life of former President Trump was horrifying, and we mourn the life of the rally goer, and hope for the quick recovery of the injured attendees.
There is absolutely no place for political violence in our country, and Bernie Sanders immediately called to condemn political violence and extremism. Will you stand with him?
Stand with Bernie: Condemn Political Violence and Extremism
There are incredibly high stakes in the November election, but even as we passionately and earnestly make our case, we can’t do that by turning on each other.
The way we make our case is by focusing on the ISSUES that matter to working families: raising wages, protecting and expanding Social Security, improving Medicare, addressing the urgent crisis of climate change, strengthening abortion rights, and more.
Political violence and extremism that dehumanizes those who disagree with us pushes the country down a dangerous path to the horror we witnessed this weekend in Butler, PA, that we saw in Washington D.C. on January 6th, and that Bernie’s staff experienced when someone set fire to his office in Burlington, VT.
It’s clear that we live in fraught and troubled times. As a nation we are at a crossroads. As we face this historic election, we must make clear we stand against a path of political violence and extremism.
