Jack,

Big news: The California legislature has put a $10 billion climate bond on the ballot for this November. This is in no small part thanks to the many League supporters who answered the call to make their voices heard in support of this important initiative. This climate bond, now known as Prop 4, provides critical funding for clean air and water, disaster mitigation, and a healthier future for all of us in the Golden State. Our recent blog [[link removed]] provides a breakdown of this legislation, and what it would mean to make these crucial investments in climate resilience.

It certainly means a better future for the redwoods you care so deeply about. As part of this legislation, $375 million would be dedicated to state parks, $1.2 billion would support biodiversity and nature-based solutions, and $1.5 billion would build forest resilience and address the immediate threat of wildfires.

The fact that Prop 4 is on the ballot is exciting news, but getting it across the finish line requires one more big step…

Californians voting YES in November.

Success depends on people like you making their voices heard at the ballot box, and choosing to invest in a future where we have clean air, safe drinking water, and healthier communities, wildlife, and yes, trees.

Thank you, Jack, for supporting our redwoods and a healthier future for us all.
