John,

It takes courage to run for elected office in today's political climate, especially in a toss-up race that will get more national attention than almost any other.

But having met Elaine in the Navy where she spent 20 years serving her country in uniform, I know courage isn't something Elaine is in short supply of.

When Elaine called for President Trump's impeachment, she knew she was risking her re-election and opening herself up to personal attacks from Trump's allies and Republican groups around the country -- but she did it anyway because it was the right thing to do.

As expected, the attacks came -- $500,000 worth. Elaine has a critical end-of-month fundraising deadline in just over a week. Are you able to chip in to help her keep up the fight?

This will be a tough race, but I know Elaine is the one to bet on. She's fully committed to creating a better system for our veterans, our families, and leaving a brighter future for our daughter.

When the pundits counted Elaine out in 2018, she proved them wrong and defeated Republican Congressman Scott Taylor by 2.3 points. Now Taylor is in for a rematch, and he's already hurling personal attacks her way.

We need to make sure Elaine's team has the resources to defeat her Republican challengers. That's why I'm asking you to make a donation before this important deadline -- can you chip in?

In these uncertain times, every dollar counts. I know Elaine appreciates your support.

Thank you,
