Today President Trump announced his official pick for the role of vice president and in case you missed it, it's current Ohio Senator J.D Vance.
J.D. Vance, who rose from humble beginnings much like myself, has shown exceptional dedication to our nation as a Marine and as a U.S. Senator. J.D.'s journey is a true American story. Born in Middletown, Ohio, he faced numerous challenges growing up, including economic hardship and family instability. Despite these obstacles, he excelled academically, eventually graduating from Ohio State University and then earning a law degree from Yale Law School.
After his education, J.D. served as a Marine in the Iraq War, demonstrating his commitment to our country and its values. His experiences led him to write the bestselling memoir 'Hillbilly Elegy,' which shed light on the struggles of working-class Americans and brought national attention to issues facing rural communities.
