We’re thrilled to gather again in celebration for the 2024 Equality Virginia Commonwealth Dinner, Virginia’s largest black tie LGBTQ+ celebration of its kind! At this year’s event, we will share the story of how our community has fought for progress and still carved out victories in spite of those who aim to drag us backward.
Equality Virginia with presenting sponsor Altria will host its annual gala on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the historic Main Street Station in downtown Richmond. Hosted on the eve of the 10 year anniversary of marriage equality in Virginia, attendees will hear about the successes and ongoing challenges of building a stronger Virginia in the face of national headwinds against LGBTQ+ civil rights and honor champions and organizations who demonstrate remarkable vision, courage, and leadership in the effort to achieve full equality and inclusion of LGBTQ+ individuals.

The 2024 Commonwealth Dinner is an event you don’t want to miss! Upon entrance to Main Street Station all guests will be photographed in a modern Vanity Fair- style set. The VIP guests will mingle in their private lounge that has a speciality bar and cocktail, and a large grazing table! While VIP and general admission guests wait for the curtain to open for the main dinner program, they can bid on items in the Silent Auction or donate to win wine from the Wine Wall!
During the program and awards, guests will enjoy a delectable dinner from Groovin’ Gourmet , wine from Veritas Vineyard , beer from Virginia Beer Company , and non-alcoholic options from Best Day Brewing . Vintage inspired wedding cakes will be on each table to celebrate 10 years of marriage equality in Virginia and boldly commit to removing the ban that still exists in our state constitution. Guests will be invited to cut their cake as we raise a toast to the work ahead!
After the event, we’ll see you on the dance floor as DJ Statistics gets the party going. She brings forth blends of the hottest in Hip-Hop, Afrobeat, House, Bounce, Oldies, EDM, and more. Also known as "Your Auntie's Favorite DJ," this celebrity DJ has taken over the soundwaves at venues across the United States with mainstream artists and even a few of your favorite RuPaul Queens!
